A search warrant for growing marijuana in and near the house found 36 marijuana plants and 3 ounces of marijuana seed. Arrested for manufacturing marijuana was Randy Allen Bush. 23. of Rt. 2, Columbus. He was also charged with having capsules of a drug commonly known as "Black Speed" which is included in Schedule 2 of the N C. Controlled Substance Act He was also charged with having 3 ounces of seed for growing marijuana. Also arrested was his brother. Robert Wayne Bush, who was charged with manufacturing marijuana Charged With Breaking, Entering Jackie Ray Forster of Campobello. S. C. has been returned from the Spartanburg jail to the Polk County jail to face the charge of breaking into the house and office of Dr Grace Jaynes, Rt. 1, Columbus and stealing 23 prescription pads. He was arrested in Spartanburg County where he was trying to pass some forged prescriptions Read The Bulletin For Local News Landrum’s Ramsey Promoted and Owens Hired Jim Ramsey has been promoted to head basketball coach and Ricky Owens has been named head baseball coach at Landrum High School, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Steve Coley said Thursday. Ramsey succeeds Ron Hicks, who recently took the job as head basketball coach at Easley High School. Owens, a Landrum native spent last year as an assistant football coach at Carolina High School in Greenville. Both will serve as football assistants. “I'm very happy, of course," Ramsey, 28. said. “It's something I’ve wanted for a long time. I've worked hard toward it and I'm looking forward to the opportunity." Ramsey is a native of Chesnee and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1974. He has been at Landrum for three years, having spent four years at Boiling Springs High School. He has been defensive coordinator at Landrum the past three years. Landrum’s basketball team recorded a 21-7 record last year and lost in the second round of the state IA playoffs. Ramsey, who has been the junior varsity coach, will have four players returning this fall. The Cardinals lost six players following the end of the 1980-81 season.
